NYCC 2014- Fri, Pt. 2

So, now we head into my second part of my coverage of NYCC 2014 on Friday. There is a ton more of cosplay, so let's not waste anymore time and delve right into more of my favorite from that day!

Hell yeah! More two more Game of Thrones cosplay!!!
 Rocket Racoon in the house!!
OK, I fucking LOVED this X-Men group cosplay. The fact that the hottie doing Shadowcat had a freaking Lockhead with her is just EPIC!!!
The Koopa with a camera is just too awesome an idea!!!
Sexy DC cosplay, cause that is always a wonderful thing!!
Speaking of sexy, wow, just WOW!!!!!
Adventure Time cosplay always makes the world a happier one to live in!
Beta-Ray Bill was fucking epic, man! One of the very best cosplays at the con!
Double the Chun-Lis!! It's like a dream I once had! Only much this is more PG rated!
This dude really looks like Lex! And, mean in the best way possible!
Clearly Ultron got the upper hand in his battle with the Vision!
More Adventure Time cosplay! The geek gods are pleased!

I always had a thing for She-Ra's for Catra, so thank God this beauty did her as cosplay. This is another one of my utmost, personal favorites, at the show!

Speaking of AMAZING cosplay, my friend Nelson D. Martinez went as Darth Maul, and he did an awesome job one of my favorite Star Wars characters. He looked perfect! His finance, Ariel, did an AMAZING job with his makeup. I got to shoot a couple of pics of him, and I can vouch for just how popular his cosplay was at the show. Every few minutes people stopped him (and in turn us), to take pics of him or with him. But, how could you not want to do that?! The dude looked fucking badass!!!

 Battle of the Sith!!
I think this Jawa might be in deep shit!
The bad guys unite at Comic Con!

Of course, there was some booth fun to be had, too. Here are some pic highlights:
 Beauty getting body paint FTW!
I want this Black Widow. If you love me, you will get for me! Lol!
Random coincidence, I am wearing one of my Spongebob tees, while writing this!
Man, this Man-At-Arms statue is just, too badass!!!

I loved visiting the Troma booth. Cause it's always fun to see the Troma gang, especially since both of the lovely leads of the amazingly awesome Return to Nuke 'Em High were there! While, I had met the beautiful Catherine Corcoran when I was covering TromaDance a couple of months back, I had never met the gorgeous Asta Paredes. I would go back on Sat to get my blu-ray signed by them both. Then, on Sunday, I interviewed, Asta. But, you'll see those pics soon, plus more of these lovely, talented, and very sweet ladies, in more posts to come!

Doro 30th Anniversary Show NYC 10/20/14

This past Thurs, I got to attend the 30th Anniversary concert of the metal queen Doro Pesch at Gramercy Theatre. I won tickets for it just a few days before via the PiercingMetal.com site. This would actually be my second time seeing her perform, and the fact that it was an anniversary show chock full of special guests had me really pumped to see one of my personal favorite metal musicians, ever!

The first act I actually got to see was the last band to perform right before the queen and her band would rock the fucking house, and it was Flames of Fury. They are a New York City female-fronted, old-school metal group. I actually saw them last year, when they opened up for Doro and Sister Sin at B.B. Kings. They are a really kick ass band, with a lively and beautiful front-woman in the sexy form for of Angelica Vargas. The really embody what heavy metal music is, and their love for this type of music is really evident and true from their hearts. They put on a great show and were an awesome warm-up for Doro.

But, then it was time for the reason that we were all there, metal's one true queen: Doro!! I been Doro (and of her former band Warlock) for ages. It's amazing to think that not only is she still rocking hard for thirty fucking years, but that she still does so well! She's still beautiful and stays in great shape. But, most importantly still carries and flies the flag for metal music loud and proud.

And, the fact of the matter is that she still puts on one hell of show. She's an amazing front-woman with one hell of voice and a ton of energy. She is also very humble and sweet and has real love for her fans, and, we, in turn, adore her right back. Backed by her talented and ass-kicking band, many of whom have been with her for many years, they rank as one of the best live old-school bands, around.

At this show, it being an anniversary celebration, the band played for two hours plus!! They played many classics from both her Warlock era material and her solo stuff, like "True as Steel, "Fight for Rock", "Unholy Love", "Fur Immer", as well as modern rockers like the blistering "Revenge". As a celebration for all these years rocking us hard, many other musicians joined her onstage, including Bobby Blitz of Overkill. She also played two kick ass covers, her AMAZING version of Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law" and Dio's "Egypt (The Chains Are On)", with she dedicated to the late/ great Ronnie James Dio and closed off this killer show off with. I had an amazing time, as one would have at a Doro show. But, most of all I was happy to be at this very special show. Here is to 30 more years of great music from our metal queen!! All hail, Doro Pesch!!

 Bobby Blitz of fucking Overkill!!!!!

 Drum solo time!

Guests galore join the queen to play a kick rendition of the Warlock classic "All We Are".

NYCC 2014- Sat Pt. 1

Saturday is always the biggest, busiest, and most packed day at NYCC. Being that this was THE most packed Comic Con, yet, that dear readers and friends, says a lot about just how many people there were in Javits Center! As such, I am once again breaking coverage of it into two parts. As the picture above, of an awesome Harley Quinn that managed to stick out in a sea of Harleys, represents there was a ton of cosplay to be enjoyed. And, as one would imagine on a Sat, the amount of it was enormous.  Here the first half of some of my favorites that I saw on that day:

OMFG how AWESOME (yes, I used that word on purpose, if you saw the highly enjoyable Lego Movie, you will get it) is this Lego Batman?! It's easily in my top 10 best cosplay of the con.
Another one in my top ten has to be this Agt. Smith and Trinity of The Matrix. Tell me that they do not look perfect!!
OK, so I say this a lot, but I really do LOVE Game of Thrones cosplay, especially when done by hotties!
Snake Plisken was a genuine badass cosplay! The dude is also a big Carpenter fan, as he has a Michael Myers tat. He also liked the Halloween baseball tee that I was wearing.
Deadpool is headless thanks to a Sub-Zero!
I gotta say the Mortal Kombat group cosplay was pretty badass and lent itself to cool pics and poses.

Apparently there is some crossover with Sailor Moon that I wasn't informed of! Or I am guessing neither were any of you! Just kidding!

 More Game of Thrones! Yay!!!
 Uhm, wow. Just wow!!
 Sexy Rocket Racoon!
This is a really badass Agent Venom, a character I have become a fan of thanks to the current The Thunderbolts comic. I know he's no longer on that team, but you get my drift. I love that Spidey was walking right passed him, BTW.

 I choose you sexy Polyvore!

It is a known fact that Deadpool gets all the hotties.

Now, hows about we hit some booths? After all, I spent a good portion of my time at them.
What do you think I was telling ET, here?

Usually around this time of year the last thing I wanna do is think about Christmas, or the holidays in general. I mean it's Oct, for crissakes, so it should be Halloween, only, please! But, even I have to admit the Xmas ornaments and decorations that were on display at the Kurt S. Adler booth were freaking epic! There are so many awesome franchises like The Walking Dead, Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc that they do. I would LOVE to have a bunch of these in my house at the holidays. And, who knows maybe one of these days, I will!

I think the Star Wars nutcrackers are some of the coolest things that I have ever seen!

Game of Thrones! Do you think that if I have this in my house one of the hotties doing GoT cosplay will come over?
Of course, there has to be Hello Kitty stuff!
THIS is the way a Christmas tree should look like!

There was a booth that promoted the Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 game that came out on the 14th of this month from Bandai Namco. As such this adorable little mascot was there! It's Inky! This guy was just too freakin cute! He bobbled up and down and bought much joy and smiles to the con!

This is the beautiful Farrah of Tread Water. My God is she gorgeous or what?! Those eyes!! Those lips! *swoon*

As I said in the earlier post, that would do, I went back to the Troma booth to get my blu-ray of Return to Nuke Em High Vol. 1 signed by Catherine Corcoran and Asta Paredes. At the moment I got there only Asta was there. I would end up getting Catherine to sign it, a little later in the day. But, more on that in part two! But, as a bonus I got to meet Mark Quinette who played Michelangelo, AKA the Cretin who keeps saying "Oh snap!" in the movie. He's a really cool and friendly dude in person.

Two legends have teamed up for an upcoming issue of Penthouse magazine: artist, animator, graphic designer, and filmmaker Bill Plympton and gorgeous MILF porn star Julia Ann. I got talk to both of them about this exciting and innovative project at New York Comic Con on Sat. Oct. 11, 2014.

This is the free poster that they were signing and handing out at Comic Con to promote the issue.

Both were so friendly and professional, and as such were a complete pleasure to conduct this interview with!

As I alluded to in the first half of this writeup, Saturday is the biggest day, and arguably, the one with the most amont of cosplay. One of the absolute coolest and most original cosplays was the Disney Star Wars Sith Lords, which were comprised of Nelson D. Martinez and his fiance Ariel (who also did the amazing makeup) doing The Nightmare Before Christmas' Jack Skellington and Sally. They were joined by their friend Elizabeth as Elsa from Frozen. I had a blast being among the many photographers who got to shoot pics of them. As would be imagined with such an innovative and awesome crossover cosplay it drew lots of well deserved attention.

Eventually they turned their sites on your intrepid reporter/ blogger!

Here are even more cosplays that I absolutely loved on that day.
The fact that this Skeletor has a decapitated Kringer (Battle Cat?) head on his shoulder is fuckin wicked!!

This was a great "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and it was made even better by the fact that he had Queen Sherri with him!! Too awesome!!!!

My friend Rachel did some Attack of Titan cosplay. AoT is one of the most popular animes out there right now. Maybe, it's time I give it a look. Any of you guys fans of it?
Not gonna lie. This was kinda hot!

It's time to hit some more booths!! Woohoo!!
DC Comics' booth had a setup dedicated, in large part, to playing tribute the 75th anniversary of Batman.

The three pics above represent figures from the amazing Arrow TV series and should be out starting in spring. I want these so badly! So, if you love me, you will get at least one of them, if not all of them. Lol!

Finally, as I was setting up and waiting to interview the beautiful and super talented Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska, the lovely duo from Return to Nuke 'Em HighCatherine Corcoran and Asta Paredes came over to meet them. It was a pretty epic. I have more pics of this, but I am saving them for the interview with the twins, which I promise will be in a few days. For now enjoy this tease!
This is when I got Catherine to sign my blu-ray copy of Return to Nuke Em High!
Four talented and beautiful women from the world of horror meet for the first time!

This is horror history in the making, dear friends and readers!

A Truly Epic Talk with the Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska, at NYCC 2014

There is no doubt about Jen and Sylvia Soska, the Twisted Twins, being two of the busiest and hottest names in the horror genre, right now. Their name and popularity has risen fast in no small part due to the very high quality of films that they are making, in particular the highly acclaimed, and deservedly so, American Mary. They made their second appearance at New York Comic Con on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014.

Another reason why they are so well loved by fans is the fact that they are so sweet to them. They love interacting with them on social media, and in person they are all about hugs, smiles, and talking to them. As such is their personality, I couldn't wait to see and talk to them again, and this time get an on camera interview with them! While, I've interviewed them before, three times actually (including last year at NYCC when they were promoting the just now released See No Evil 2), this would be the first time that I would be conducting it n this manner.

This time around, they were at the Magnet Releasing booth promoting the brand new ABC's of Death 2, just one of many projects that they are involved in. But, before I would get to talk to them the two lovely leads of Return to Nuke Em High, Asta Paredes and Catherine Corcoran paid them a visit, for a genuinely epic and awesome moment horror history. Here you had four stunning horror goddesses in one place! It's like a genre fan's dream come true!

When, I finally sat down with the lovely twins, we talked about a ton of awesome subjects, including every movie that they are involved with right now, which is quite a lot and are either done and out already or in various stages of production. And, we also got to talk about other subjects that I love including comic books, porn, and wrestling! So, yeah we definitely had a talk that can only be described as epic! See for yourself:

Sledge (2014) Review

NYCC 2014- Sun

Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 was the final day of NYCC, and on it, I had a good and very busy time. So, while the show may have ended earlier, there was still lots of cool things to see and do, beginning, of course, with cosplay, galore!!!
These guys were there to promote the Angry Birds Transformers game.
 The Joker interviews Xena!
These three gorgeous girls did some awesome and sexy video game cosplay!

This Sharknado cosplay had to be one of the most innovative at the entire show!
You saw it first here, Hogan has joined the Wyatt Family... to get an autograph from Bret Hart!

Deadpool is such a pervert! Black Widow is gorgeous, though, so you can't blame a guy who has a healing factor for trying! LOL!

Do I even need to say it again? I LOVE Game of Thrones cosplay (for those who may not have heard it the first millions times, that I said it on my earlier Comic Con posts).

Holy shit! This Mojo Jojo was fuckin awesome!!!
I love that Mojo Jojo is hanging around, behind the young Professor X!
OMFG! Buffy cosplay!! Why don't more of you cosplayers do Buffy cosplay?! I had a massive geekgasm when I saw this!!
Sexy Pokemon cosplay is always welcomed!

They asked me if it was OK to do their poses. I was like hells yeah! This is true cosplay professionalism, ladies and gents! And, hotness, lots of cosplay hotness!
And, suddenly I feel like having some Capt Crunch!

My friend Kusumi makes for a badass Madame Hydra/ Viper (one of my personal favorite Marvel supervillians)!

At the end of the con, there was some DC cosplaying going on outside of the Javits Center.
This stunning beauty was my favorite Power-Girl at Comic Con this year.

Of course, there was lots of wondering around booths to be done, as well.

This stunner was at a booth where you could get your wild-west style pic taken. If all the girls looked as beautiful as her back then, then I need a time-machine, right now!

The gorgeous Riki "Riddle" LeCotey, of Heroes of Cosplay and one of my personal favorite cosplayers, signed autographs and met fans.

I saw this adorable kitty mascot was walking around the hallways of the Center, and I just had to get a pic with him! I had no clue who he was until I was given a little card by a lady who was accompanying him. His name is Doraemon. He is on a show on Disney XD called Doraemon: Gadget Cat from the Future. Apparently he is a robot cat from the 23rd filled with gadgets and tries to make some kid named Noby's life less tragic or some shit like that. I never saw it, but he's adorable and that is all that matters! Also, he could close and open his eyes, which was even cuter!!!
Remember the Power-Girl that you saw pics of earlier, in this post? Well, she was hanging by and posing for pics at the Troma booth a little earlier that day for a couple of minutes. And, uncle Lloyd was in them! I think this is why I fell in love in with her! Note to hot chicks, make sure you hang at the Troma booth at cons. It makes you that much hotter and more awesome!

Right next to the Troma booth was the I Love dooodolls by BSV Toys. They had this really cool, almost Deadpool like teddy bear as their mascot. Everyone wanted pics with him! I got the pic to the right of this paragraph with him. It was taken by BAS Photography and Design.

This ends of my day by day coverage of comic con. I have two more interviews from NYCC to post, though, so don't despair!

On the very last day of NYCC 2014, Sun. Oct. 12, I got to have a fun, little interview with scream queen and star of Return to Nuke Em High Vol. 1 & 2, the beautiful Asta Paredes, at the Troma booth. We talked about that flick, as well as her upcoming including Sociopathia.

Hot Asian Girl of the Month: Meiko Askara

All pictures are from their respective owners.

Man, it's already cold, as fuck, here in NYC. As such we need to warm it up, with the Hot Asian Girl of the Month. And,what better way than with a beautiful and sexy porn star, as my pick. It's also been a while since a porn star has been highlighted here, in this monthly segment of mine. So, what a better time than today to choose the beautiful Meiko Askara!

The beautiful, and barely legal, Ms. Askara is of Japanese/ Taiwanese. She decent jumped right into porn when she was pretty much straight out of high school and had turned 18 last year in Oct. So, this mean that her 19th birthday was just last month! Happy belated birthday, Meiko!

This cutie has already garnered herself a lot attention. What with her doing nasty scenes all while looking so damn cute and innocent. This definitely add to her ever growing fan and industry appeal. She gives great blow-jobs, takes in it the poop-chute, and has even been in a four man gang-bang.

This young beauty is just a total heart-breaker. I mean just look at those almond, shaped bedroom eyes. They seduce you and make you fill with desire for her. Then there is her long, sexy legs and amazing shapely butt, that help define her killer body. It's coupled with a natural beauty to her that is exactly the type that I tend to prefer. I think she has a great future in the biz, and is the absolute perfect choice to be my November 2014 Hot Asian Girl of the Month!

Axis: Carnage #1

$

Title: Axis: Carnage
Issue Number: 1
Writer: Rick Spears
Art: German Peralta
Editor: Axel Alonso
Publisher: Marvel
Cover Price: $3.99 (US)

During the events portrayed in Axis, the evil Red Skull had stolen the brain, and with it the psychic powers of, the dead Prof. X. To stop him Dr. Strange, Dr. Doom, and the Scarlet Witch cast an inversion spell, which affected some of the superheroes and supervillains of the world. Including, in this case the Spider-Man foe and bloodthirty psychopath known as Carnage. He is, of course, the symbiote-infused alter ego of serial killer Cletus Kasady.

At the start of this first issue, our "hero" is swinging through the streets of NYC having to deal with his new and conflicting "feelings", something he has never had to deal with before. As such, he is driven by the need to be heroic. But, as a kill crazed maniac, that is easier said than done. For example, he hacks two men he thinks are threatening a woman. When, he discovers that one of them is her pimp and that she is a hooker, he punches her out. In the meantime, another psychotic villain, the Sin Eater, is killing people. This supervillain feeds off the sins of others, after he kills them "to save them". The mix and meeting of these two makes for a nice added bit of irony.

The writing by Spears is fast and fun. As a villain like Carnage is basically interested only in killing he isn't the most profound of characters, but that works to the book's advantage. His having to deal with feelings and trying to figure what is the "right thing" to do is darkly funny. There also a healthy amount of graphic violence, which is complemented perfectly by the realistic style of Perlata. I simply love the art in this book!

I don't know if this is a permanent title or just a mini-series, but it's off to a great start. Not sure how they can keep up the fun and not let this fall into mindless and repetitive drivel, but for right now this is a recommended horror, supervillain title. And, if you are a Carnage fan, like I am, then I give it my highest recommendation to you!

Behind the Scenes of Master Gio Interviews at NYCC 2014

Superior Iron Man #1

$

Title: Superior Iron Man
Issue Number: 1
Writer: Tom Taylor
Art: Yildiray Cinar
Cover Artist (Displayed Above): Tom Fowler and Brad Anderson
Editor: Mark Paniccia
Publisher: Marvel
Genre: Superhero Action
Cover Price: $3.99 (US)

During the events depicted in the current Marvel series, Axis, the Red Skull had been infused with mental powers of the deceased Professor X. To stop him Dr. Strange, Dr. Doom, and the Scarlett Witch used an inversion spell, but instead it affected the heroes and villains on the island who had teamed to battle the nefarious villain. Now, villains are trying to be heroic and vice versa. Enter Tony Stark billionaire genius and also known as the superhero, Iron Man, who is one of those affected.

He has become a huge (or some would argue turned into an even bigger) douchebag. He has given out his new extremis formula to the "beautiful people" for free, to keep them looking great. But, to remain so, they will have to pay him a price. The vigilante Daredevil has already seen the results of this and is not happy about it. On top of that his ego is even more enlarged, he is dealing out unnecessary levels of violence, and he's back to drinking heavily.

The writing by Taylor on this book is fast and fun. It's really a hoot to see Stark take his personality to the nth level and being the biggest dick that he can be. His interaction with his girlfriend Pepper is true highlight, and you wish she would just kick him in the balls. The ending is especially cool and has me pumped for the next issue.

Meanwhile, the art by Cinar is beautiful. He's great at drawing beautiful people, a must in this book and story. There are also a bunch of really cool and awesome looking variant covers. The one above by Fowler and Anderson is a great parody of the classic "Demon in a Bottle"The Invincible Iron Man cover from the 70s, while playing tribute to the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Be warned though, neither Rocket Raccoon nor Groot are in this book.

That being said, what a fun, interesting, and exciting start to a new Iron Man book. I don't know how long this version of Stark will last. But, for now seeing him think he is so superior, makes for a must read.

New Years Day- Epidemic

Musician: New Years Day
Album Title: Epidemic
Genre/ Subgenre: Alternative Rock/ Post-hardcore
Label: Grey Area Records

First and foremost, I don't think I have reviewed an album on this site, since this blog's earliest days. But, with me covering more and more of the metal/ hard rock scene, I figured going back to music reviews might be fun and helpful to some of my readers.

For those not in the know, New Years Day is an alternative rock band with a look and style that definitely leads towards to the gothic, dark, and horror-centric. In fact, they describe their sound as "haunted housecore".

Anyways, I love the sound the band has precured since moving away from the their more poppy sounding debut, My Dear. This awesome EP, Epidemic, continues that harder sound. It's their first album released by Grey Area Records, since they have parted ways with Century Media.

This one continues the sound and style of their second full length album Victims and Villains.Epidemic is only five songs long, but every song is good, with a couple, being downright excellent! The album opens with the fun "Joker", though that is honestly my least favorite track on it. But, from there it goes to even better "Other Side", and then enters the last three songs, which are the album's true highlights. They mix a good rocking sound with some dark imagery and lyrics, all of which are delivered excellently by the band's beautiful frontwoman Ash Costello. She has a good voice that is perfectly apt at carrying a melody ad bring out the right emotion for each track.

The first video off of the album is "Defame Me" which is a catchy and darkly seductive track. The song has a cool and haunting electronic intro, and dives right into a rock beat with some great hooks. Ash is at her best here, and the video mixing elements of horror and sexuality, which is where they are at their best. This song, perhaps the best on the album, really captures that perfectly. You can see the video at end of this review.

At a low price, Epidemic is a great way to introduce new fans to what this band is about. It's also an excellent way to please their already established fans until a new full length album comes out.

Aussie hard rockers AC/DC had a listening party for their upcoming new album, Rock or Bust at NYC's Webster Hall, last night, Nov. 18, 2014. This is their first release since 2008's solid ass kicker, Black Ice. Entry was free, along with free beer, an exclusive tee, a cool pass (both of which are pictured below), and you got to, of course, listen to the album.

Angus and I! Well, OK, not the real Angus but still!

There were three contests conducted that nigh: for free tattoos, an autographed poster, and an autographed guitar. Your intrepid reporter won a total of... none, I won none of them. But, then I never expected to win, so it's really now big deal.

This pretty lady announced the winners of the tattoo and signed poster contest.
Gary Dell'Abate of the Howard Stern Show, announced the lucky winner of the grand prize, a signed guitar!

The stage which had "For Those About to Rock" canons had a giant screen playing video footage and images of the band and their fans.

We finally got to hear, the album, and man, it's a serious rocker! While, I do need to get it and listen to it at home (it comes out Dec. 2), to get a real feel for it, it seems to be one of their best albums in a long time. It might be even better than Black Ice, was! "Miss Adventure" and "Dogs of War" sound like my favorite tracks, for now.

Then, Angus Young, Brian Johnson, and producer Brendon O'Brien came out! We all went insane when this happened! Holy crap! This was THE night's highlight, to have two rock legends talk for a bit and present the latest AC/DC video, the title track "Rock or Bust"! I mean that is beyond fucking awesome!
Gary presents the two legendary band members.
 Brian Johnson and Angus Young!!!

 Angus and producer O'Brien

In all, a very fun night that was a treat for long time AC/DC fans like me. I'm so glad that all these years later, they are still making headbanging, fun, kick ass rock 'n' roll!

From the Mile High Media description:
Sweetheart proudly presents a brand new series that explores the popular theme of lesbians in lock up. Each story is unique, and captures the urgency, passion and hunger of gorgeous lesbians in trouble. A spoiled, celebrity brat, Sara Luvv, has gone too far with her public recklessness, and gets a strong attitude adjustment from her public defender, Dana DeArmond. Beautiful prostitute Misha Cross commiserates with fellow inmate Karlie Montana, just before she is deported back to Warsaw, into the worst prison in Eastern Europe. Prison doctor Sinn Sage tries to figure out why three strike offender Nikki Hearts keeps having seizures, and finally escaped convicts Lily Cade & Charlotte Stokely enjoy each other one last time as they are surrounded by police, facing certain execution.

At Exxxotica NJ 2014, on Sat, Nov. 8, I had the pleasure of not only meeting lovely porn performer Holly Berry but interviewing her as well. We talked lots of sexy and naughty subjects, like her site, the secret to giving a good blow job, and more! A fan of hers even got in and asked a question, providing me with my first ever fan question!
