(For the first part of my Sat. coverage go here: http://themastergio.blogspot.com/2015/03/adult-entertainment-expo-2015-sat-pt-1.html)

I continued my Saturday at the Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas, by going back to the HotMovies.com booth. Among the beautiful babes signing there was one of my perennial favorites, Tori Black! As always she looked amazing and was all smiles, as she met her legions of fans. I always say this, because it's true. Tori has one of the most continuously loyal fan followings in the business and always draws a long line of them at any appearance that she makes.

Next to her was the always beautiful and classy Tanya Tate. Tanya looked amazing and, as always, was very friendly and an utmost professional.

The beautiful Alexis Grace and her sexy ass.

And, in keeping with the nice ass theme, here is Bliss Dulce!

Being the last day, I had to pay a visit to my friend, Draven, and talk to her for a bit, before saying good-bye. She really is one of the coolest people that I know in the biz. And, of course, she looked gorgeous! I really liked the way these pics that I took of her came out.

Finally, I ended my day with one final visit to Clips4Sale.com. I mean if I was gonna end this awesome time, I may as well visit one of the continuously wild and sexy booths there is right? Well, I think you will agree, that I made the right choice by doing so, especially when you see the last two pics!

I think that about says it all, right? ;)

Mezco Toyz at Toy Fair 2015

At Toy Fair 2015, Mezco Toyz had lots of awesome product that I feel would be of interest to my readers. As such, in this post, I'm gonna focus on the Mortal Kombat, horror, and Batman toys that will be putting out in the months to come.

The plush Mortal Kombat dolls of Sub-Zero and Scorpion at the top are sooo cute and cool! They will be out in Sept. Meanwhile, the Mortal Kombat figures to the right are in a smaller scale than the two below. The first batch below won't be out till Sept. While, the ones below that will be out sooner, in May.

Fellow fans of Chucky will have a lot to look forward from Mezco, who are going to be releasing a bunch of cool toys. It's kick ass to see that Tiffany is part of the very cool and cute minis boxset coming out in Sept.

The talking Chucky doll to the right says quotes directly from the sequel. We were not able to hear said quotes, but I am sure they are awesome. As I mentioned, they're from the sequels, as the first film is licensed under MGM not Universal, like the other films in the franchise.

Horror fans should also be excited that we will be getting a bunch of Beetlejuice stuff in Oct, so just in time for Halloween! Based simply on the pics to the left, they look like they will be awesome!

Finally fans of Frank Miller's seminal The Dark Knight Returns have much to celebrate as they are releasing AMAZING action figures based on the classic graphic novel. These rank among some of the best looking and coolest Batman toys ever!!!!

The Multiversity: Mastermen #1

Title: The Multiversity: Mastermen
Issue Number: 1
Writer: Grant Morrison
Art: Jim Lee
Inkers: Scott Williams, Sandra Hope, Mark Irwin, Jonathon Glapion
Cover Artists: Jim Lee w/ Rian Hughs
Editor: Rickey Porter
Publisher: DC
Genre: Superhero Action/ Alternate Universe
Cover Price: $4.99 (US)

The next entry in writer Grant Morrison's ongoing series, The Multiversity, exploring alternate universes in DC's multiverse deals with a "what if" scenario, of sorts. In this universe, baby Kal El's ship does not crash land in Smallville, Kansas. Instead, it lands in Nazi, Germany during World War II. Hitler, who was taking a shit reading a Superman comic, is soon informed. The superbaby is named Clark and is raised by the Nazi regime. He becomes the key to victory and in this world, with this being's superpowers, here dubbed Overman, they take over the world. Cut to the present, where the Nazis still rule, some more than sixty years later. Ethnic cleansing has occurred and Overman is joined by a Nazified version of the Justice League. But, a rebel force led by Uncle Sam is swelling, attacking, and preparing to take them down and free this world. In meantime, Overman wrestles with a conscious heavy with all the bloodshed and disgusting atrocities that have been committed since the days of Hitler.

I have to admit that I have never read a single issue of The Multiversity (all of which are one-shots, or single issue stories, for those not in the know) or even knew about it. As I have said in the past, I rarely read any DC post-The New 52 (which, yes, I still hate). But, upon hearing the idea of a Superman raised by the Nazis, I was intrigued. In some ways this may recall Redson, the classic Elseworlds tale where Superman is raised by Russians. But, he wasn't a villain in that. Being associated with Nazis is a completely different thing to communist Russia, and this book does a good job in capturing that. It's dark and somber, but also completely enthralling. It's fascinationg and disturbing to see a Nazi version of an iconic hero like Batman, here named Leatherwing. This is a scary and horrific world, but what Morrison does so amazingly is that even in this disgusting world where Clark has been raised by such a repulsive reigmen, he still has a moral center. One that makes him question the world that he lives in and the allegiance that he has, as well as those he is associated with. Since each of these stories are one-shot, we end the story on a gut punch, one that we won't see the outcome for. But, we do feel hope for this world, which in light of it all, is important.

Complementing Morrison's excellent story telling is Jim Lee's beautiful and fluent artwork. His art perfectly captures this world's perverse version of known, and lesser known characters. The colors are somber and help to add a heaviness to this story.

One of the best and perhaps the single darkest alternate version, you are ever likely to read about the Last Son of Krypton, this story gets my highest possible recommendation. And, since it's a one-shot, you have no excuse for not checking it out.

Princess Leia #1

Title: Princess Leia
Issue Number: 1
Writer: Mark Waid
Art: Terry Dodoson
Inkers: Rachel Dodoson
Editor: Jordan D. White
Publisher: Marvel
Genre: Science Fiction
Cover Price: $3.99 (US)

One of the most exciting prospects of Disney owning both Marvel and Star Wars is that we would have Marvel publishing Star Wars tales again. This is something that hadn't happened since the mid 80s, as Dark House had been doing that since the 90s. Already, Marvel has given us three Star Wars titles: Star Wars, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia, and, coming next month, we will have a fourth one: Kanan: The Last Padawan. This review is, of course, for the first issue of the ongoing Princess Leia comic.

The issue starts mere minutes after the end of Episode IV: A New Hope, as the medal ceremony has ended. We see that people don't seem to like the beautiful Princess Leia very much. They feel that she is a cold-hearted bitch with no feelings. But, this couldn't be further from the truth. She looks for a way to help the Rebellion somehow but is told by the man in charge of this outpost, General Dodonna, that she should just grieve. Not only that, but they need to protect her as she is now she is a major target of the Galactic Empire, who have put a huge bounty on her head. Also, any surviving Alderaanians are to be hunted down and exterminated. Leia isn't one to take this lying down. So, she asks for the help of a pretty, blonde X-Wing pilot named Evaan, who doesn't particularly like Leia and definitely sees her as said being an "ice princess".

Of all the stories that I have read that take place after some point in the Star Wars cinematic universe, this is one of the ones, that I can most definitely seeing having occurred or occurring. Waid has crafted the perfect story for Leia, one that fits her character to perfection. He really captures the spunk and heroism that makes her one of the greatest female characters in the history of sci-fi. He also crafts interesting characters, both new and old, to interact with her, as well as set the pace up for what promises to be an exciting and fun series to read.

This is complemented by Dodson's good looking art. I've always liked the way he draws beautiful women, and he does a great job here with Leia. He is also really good at capturing character's emotions in the panels. It's a fun and bright looking book, just the way this title should be.

The end result is what might be the most promising of the Star Wars titles so far. I really think the sky, (or is it space?), is the limit for this book. Highly enjoyable and a complete pleasure to read, I simply love this issue. Pick it up, ASAP and be sure to keep your eyes open for the second issue, which should hit comic shops this Wed.

I first met the lovely Onyx Muse at last year's Exxxotica NJ and was immediately taken not only by her natural beauty but her sexy and sweet personality. So, I definitely wanted to interview her in the very near future. I got to do just that this past Jan in Las Vegas, Nev for the Adult Entertainment Expo. It was on Sat, the very last day of the expo, just mere hours before the AVN Awards, themselves would begun. She is fairly new to the business, but she here tells what about her experience so far, who she would like to work with, and more in a fun and lively, little talk.

Hack / Slash: Nailbiter (One-Shot)

Title: Hack/ Slash: Nailbiter
Issue Number: One-Shot
Writers: Tim Seeley and Joshua Williamson
Art: Emilio Laiso and Mike Henderson
Cover Art: Tim Seely and K. Michael Russell
Editor: Rob Levin
Publisher: Image
Genre: Horror/ Action
Cover Price: $4.99

This crossover of Hack/ Slash and Nailbiter, has both of their creators teaming up, as our heroic serial killing duo of Cassie Hack and Vlad meet the Nailbiter dubbed so by the media, for his fondness of biting his victim's nails. The first half has our heroine, Cassie Hack, and her monstrous partner Vlad going to Portland, Oregon to Buckaroo a town known for it's high amount of serial killers. They been sent there by Edward Warren, a man who unbeknownst to them is the Nailbiter), who tells Cassie that her mom came from that town. They soon arrive at a store dedicated to serial killers in Buckaroo, where they meet it's owner, Pedro Miramontes. He has a love for lucha libre (Mexican pro-wrestling known for it's aerial and technical prowess and use of masks by it's wrestlers) and... killing! You see it's all a trap concocted by Warren!
Flip the comic over and you get the prequel, as we learn how our duo met Warren. At an amusement park, they attempt to save Warren from another serial killer. Of course, no one knows who Warren really is...

Both stories are really fun and move at quick paces. Series creators Seeley and Williamson both add a sly and quirky sense of humor to accompany the violence. The dialogue is sharp and witty, with solid characterizations. I also like the art of both stories. I do prefer the art of Laiso, but I quite liked Henderson's as well. Both have a fun style that works well for the stories.

While, I have known about Hack/ Slash for ages, I had never heard about Nailbiteri, until now. I never read either till now. I am glad that I did. I had a blast going through this issue and will keep reading, as well as buy some trades of the older books. Cassie Slash is sexy and badass, and Vlad is funny and a cool character. This is a solid book, that I recommend, even if you never read any of the other books in the series. Especially for those who like their horror books to be full of fun and action, and even more so, if they have a taste for slashers/ serial killers. Fans into lucha libre will wanna take a look too.

As I was winding down on Friday, January 23, 2015, I passed by the Teddy Love booth, and I happened to catch a large crowd around it. The beautiful, blonde, and busty Britney Amber was posing for pictures in a very suggestive manner and everyone started to snap away. The pics I took at that moment might be the sexiest I took the entire time I was at the expo this year. As such, I figured I would save these for my last write-up on it. Britney is so impossibly sexy, that I just couldn't stop taking pics! Her body is amazing! She has a great rack, a really sweet ass, beautiful, blue eyes with in look in them that scream SEX(!), a tantalizing and naughty smile, hot legs, and a beautiful face.

Of course, the booth was promoting the Teddy Love bear, a sex toy that combines the cuteness and warmth of a teddy bear with some vibrating action that surely will please that special lady in your life. Below she tells me a little bit this loving and naughty little bear.

Backcountry (2015) Review

Update for March 2015

$
0
0
I haven't done any of these updates in months, but there's so much I wanted to cover, that it felt needed this time around. Let's begin with the tragic news that I saw yesterday, on the passing of AJ Pero.

AJ Pero- the drummer of Twisted Sister and Adrenaline Mob passed away yesterday at age 55. I grew up on Twisted's music, and there's no denying his drumming was awesome. I had the pleasure of meeting him way back in Oct. 2007 at a Chiller (see pic below). He was such a nice guy. The last I heard the cause of death seemed to have been a heart-attack. I was deeply saddened to hear this news. Still am. May he RIP.

Let's talk TV shows. But, WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!! All thoughts/ reviews are followed by a rating of the season so far out of 4 stars.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- THE best TV or movie take on the Turtles continues to be just that. The last two part episode with our heroes, teaming up with a new group of mutant heroes, to save the mutated New Yorkers from Dimension X was, in short: AMAZING!!!
The Walking Dead- Let's be honest here. Most websites spend their time kissing the ass of this show. This is NOT most sites. I think that this half of the season has been awful. A complete snoozefest. However there are bright spots here and there. I am LOVING seeing the beautiful Alexandra Breckenridge on it. Carol is THE best character on the show. The episode where they found themselves in that place full of zombies was great. I cheered on the death of Noah! HATED that character. And, last night's mostly excellent episode proved what a badass Rick is! And, what the fuck is up with Michonne?!
**1/2
Bates Motel- We are only a few episodes in of this season, and it may just be the show's best yet. Norman going full "Psycho" is awesome! The creep factor is very high and so is the undertones of incest.
***1/2
The Flash- Man, how good is this show?! And, that last episode with Wells killing Cisco, but then it being reset by Barry going back in time is ALL KINDS of awesome!!!
***1/2
IZombie- Here is a show I had VERY low expectations for. Based on a Vertigo title I never read, but now want to, this tale of a pretty  girl who is a zombie and solves crime via brain eating had a fun first episode. Of course, the fact that Rob (Veronica Mars) Thomas is behind it, helps. I'll give it two more episodes to see if I stick with it. But, I think I will.
**1/2
Arrow- Man, it's just DC heaven! I LOVE what they are doing with Thea and her dad! I LOVE the whole Raa's Al Ghoul/ Arrow thing, I LOVE Nyssa. Maybe she can finally help Laurel be a good Black Canary via her training her... maybe!
****
Grimm- All I have to say is that Juliet as a Hexen Beast is everything!! This is THE best thing they ever did with her, and this season may end up being their best season, yet!!
****
12 Monkeys- I never saw the movie (I know, I know), but this show is AMAZING!! Smart and thought provoking, serious sci-fi, at it's best. It has a GREAT cast (a couple from Nikita) and some of the best writing on TV. Also, Amanda Schull (right) is a goddess!!

****

Here is some horror and porn news for you!

31- Ginger Lynn returns to work with Rob Zombie again, in his upcoming "31". You may recall she was in The Devil's Rejects, in Captain Spaulding's dream. The gorgeous MILF porn goddess is a super welcome addition to the film!!!!
True Detective- I have heard much about this show. I think I failed by not watching it. I need to correct this. The next season, which will be it's second one, will have two porn stars do cameos in an orgy scene: Amia Miley (insert, left) and Peta Jensen (larger pic, left). Peta is already a favorite of mine after having met her at AEE in Jan. And, I am definitely a fan of Ms. Miley, as well. She is stunning!!! True Detective isn't a horror series, per say, but from all I hear, it may as well be one. Gonna try and catch with it, so I can watch it next season!

Finally, let's talk comic books! In particular two awesome new Marvel titles. These reviews are out of 4 stars, as well:

Darth Vader- The Sith Lord gets his own monthly title with good art and a fast paced story. The second issue was especially good, as we saw his take no shit attitude.
***
Spider-Gwen- This is my favorite new title, since Superior Iron-Man. This Gwen Stacey is from an alternate universe, where she is Spider-Woman after having being bitten by a radioactive spider, and Peter Parker is dead. The character is so popular that she has been given this excellent book, with fun, quirky writing by Jason Latour and beautiful art by Robbi Rodriguez. This universe offers a fresh on fun take 0n Spider-Man characters like Mary Jane, Frank "The Punisher" Castle, Kingpin, the Vulture, an evil Matt "Daredevil" Murdock, and, of course, Gwen, herself. A must read!

Holiday Slasher ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE Releases Trailer

$
0
0

Everyone once in a while I run into a trailer so fucking awesome, that I HAVE to share it! I'm a huge fan of Christmas horror movies, and this one looks to be a great addition to the infamous sub-genre. And, the fact that it features such gorgeous and talented actresses as Jessica Cameron, Ashley Mary Nunes, and Jennifer Wenger, make even more excited for it!
From the press release:

"The Readmond Company has teamed up with Director/Writer Todd Nunes to bring you a terrorizing, blood-soaked Christmas slasher. All Through the House stars scream queens Ashley Mary Nunes (SYFY’S Robot Combat League), Jessica Cameron (Truth or Dare), and Jennifer Wenger (Jimmy Kimmel Live). The film’s gory special effects were created by Tommy Pietch of SYFY’S Face Off and Star Trek: Renegades.

All Through the House is an 80s-style slasher film featuring a deranged Santa Slayer who rips through the town of Napa for some yuletide-terror.

Fifteen years ago, a peaceful Christmas neighborhood was engulfed by fear when five-year-old Jamie Garrett was mysteriously taken from her bedroom never to be seen again. Now on Christmas break, Rachel Kimmel comes home from college to find her neighborhood struck again by a reign of terror. A violent killer is hiding behind a grisly Santa mask, leaving a bloody trail of slaughtered women and castrated men to the steps of the Garrett house. Rachel finds herself in a horrifying nightmare as she discovers the twisted secret behind the mask.

“This slasher has been brewing in my mind since I was a kid,” says Director/Writer Todd Nunes. “It’s not a rehash of popular Christmas horror movie subplots, like punishing the naughty, Santa obsessed psychos, or death by antlers. This is a dark, scary, violent story that delivers on a big bloody body count, beautiful girls, and lots of terrifying action. It’s everything I love to see in a horror movie - every murder is shown on screen and the anti-hero is a killer with a diabolical, sadistic mystery.”

“Although I loved my character because she is strong and complex, I’m really drawn to the twisted and crazy characters she meets in this movie,” says actress Ashley Mary Nunes (as Rachel Kimmell). “The Killer in All Through the House is disturbing, gross and really unique - I’m fascinated by the depraved impulses. I know that everyone is going to love all the gore and violence, but there is also a twisted mystery that ties it all together like a big Christmas bow.”

All Through the House was shot in 21 days in the summer of 2014 in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Lake Arrowhead, CA. The 95 minute film is currently in post-production. Director/Writer Todd Nunes graduated with honors from The Los Angeles Film School and studied screenwriting at UCLA's Writers' Program. This is the first film by Santa Monica-based The Readmond Company.
Full Cast: Ashley Mary Nunes (Robot Combat League), Jessica Cameron (Truth or Dare), Melynda Kiring (The Fog Lady), Jennifer Wenger (Jimmy Kimmel Live), Natalie Montera, Lito Velasco, Jason Rayer, Johanna Rae (Natural Born Filmmakers), Cathy Garrett, Matt Poeschl (Entourage), Danica Riner, Kelsey Carlstedt, Lyndon Laveaux, Justice Lee, Sarah Miller, Milijana Riner, Noah Boylen, John Nunes, and Sky Boylen.

Full Crew: Stephen Readmond (Producer), Christopher Stanley (Producer), Todd Nunes (Director/Writer), Ryan J. Anderson (Cinematography), Glenda Suggs (Assistant Director), Tommy Pietch (Key Special Effects), Josh McCarron (Special Effect David Passey (Gaffer), Adrian Rivero (Sound), Alexis Evelyn (Editor), Melissa Black (Production Design), Crista Llewellyn (Makeup Artist), Nigelle Paden (Makeup Artist), Patricia McPhaul (Script Supervisor), Sharon Nunes (Set Decorator), Grip (Tamra Garrett), Jennifer Nunes (Grip), Shane Nunes (Production Assistant)."

Latin Asses” showcases the sexiest Latinas in the adult industry in four hardcore, beautifully shot HD scenes.  Renowned director William H. perfectly captures all the steamy action, as the women of “Latin Asses” give in to their carnal desires… including some backdoor lovin’.

“[William H.] is back with a vengeance,” wrote XCritic.com reviewer Don Houston in his write-up of the director’s first movie for Hard X, “Squirt for Me.” “I look forward to more of what he comes up with…so check it out!”

AdultDVDTalk.com critic Captain Jack gave William H.’s Hard X debut four stars. He wrote, “William H. is one of the top directors in the biz, and Hard X is lucky to have him…[he] certainly knows how to film porn.  He is an outstanding director and captures these girls in states of ecstasy like none other.”

“Hard X is already a good studio, but will only rise to the top with William H. in the fold,” added Captain Jack.

“Latin Asses,” like all Hard X and O.L. The 175 Greatest Heavy Metal Album Covers of all Time Pt. 16: 10-1

$
0
0
Finally! Here it is! The top 10 heavy metal album covers of all time! I'm sorry for the delay. Anyway, let's get to them, without any further adieu!

10. Iron Maiden- The Number of the Beast- Man is a puppet to the Devil who, in turn, is a puppet to Eddie, the Maiden mascot in this classic cover by Derek Riggs. It's one of the greatest and most iconic covers to one of THE greatest and most iconic albums ever, made. Also, it proves that Eddie is more powerful and awesome than Satan! And, don't forget this is the first album with Bruce Dickinson as the signer!!! A landmark album in every way shape and form!

9. Obituary- The End Complete- This amazing cover is for the third and best selling Obituary album, ever. Everything is amazing on it. From the desolate place it depicts to dragonizied version of the already cool Obituary logo!

8. Judas Priest- Metal Works 73-93- This compilation of Priest songs released at their 20th anniversary has a beautiful, exciting, and kick ass collage of the band's album covers as drawn by Mark Wilkinson. The battle between the Painkiller and the Hellion at top are breathtaking and badass to the max!

7. Type O Negative- Bloody Kisses (Digipak cover)- While, the original version of this cover of the third album from these Brooklyn metal masters was sexy and cool, the digipak version is ever HOTTER. The two girls actually locking lips in a delicious image. Metalhead boys and girls were immediately turned on, even more than before. The album, itself, is a 90 metal masterpiece!!!

6. Megadeth- Rust in Peace- The fourth album by Megadeth is their finest moment and a thrash metal classic! The sci-fi/ political cover has Eddie, an energy stone, an alien, and then leaders of the world. Not only is their finest moment, but Vic Rattlehead (the band mascot) as well!!

5. Obituary- Cause of Death- This classic death metal album is the second by the band. The cover is done Michael Whelan and was originally going to be used on Sepultura's Beneath the Remains, which instead used different art by the same artist. This cover would also be used on an HP Lovercraft collection.

4. Judas Priest- Painkiller- The twelfth and, in my humble opinion best, album by these British gods of metal features truly kick ass and exciting art with the Painkiller himself. He's riding off to whoop some fucking ass, surely! He seems triumphant as hell. So, maybe he already whooped some ass!

3. Iron Maiden- Live after Death- This classic live album, one of the genre's very best might I add, by Iron Maiden has such amazing art by Derek Riggs. It continues the story of Eddie, who is resurrected after being lobotomized in Piece of Mind. He also still has the chains from the Powerslave tour. The tombstone has a quote from HP Lovercraft, that reads as follows:
"That is not dead which can eternal lie
Yet with strange aeons even death may die."
It also reads Eddie's full name: Eddie T. H., referring to The Head, with the last name being obscured.
An all, this art is something straight out of a zombie movie and awesome for that!

2. Sepultura- Arise- The fourth album by the Brazilian thrash gods is their masterpiece on of the finest thrash/ death metal crossover albums, ever. The Lovecraftain/ sci-fi/ nightmarish cover is one of the coolest, most complex, and original covers ever. And, hence it gets the runner up award.

1. Iron Maiden- Somewhere in Time- The greatest cover ever is this, the studio sixth album by Maiden. Derek Riggs give us a kick ass  Blade Runner type futuristic world for Eddie to walk through with his gun. Allusions to other Maiden albums and songs abound in the complex, colorful, and eye-catching background. The use of the iconic Eddie, the setting, the richness and complexity, all amounts to it winning my top stop!

FANGORIA COVER TO COVER Signing at Forbidden Planet 4/2/15

Fangoriais one of the most important magazines in my entire life. Not only did it fuel and influence my love of horror, but it was the first place that I would eventually end up getting published in. As such, the concept of a hardcover book featuring the covers from the mag was one that really appealed to me. And, as such I was excited for the new Fangoria Cover to Cover, which is just that. I was even more excited to see that my favorite comic-book shop, Forbidden Planet, was gonna have a signing with many from the magazine's past and present contributors and horror luminaries, including my friend Debbie Rochon.

I got there about a half hour before it started and waited in line. It started a little late as the legendary Dick (Gremlins 1 & 2, The Terminator) Miller wasn't feeling well and had to leave. Thank God, I met him years ago at one of the old Fangoria Weekend of Horrors conventions! As always, it was great to talk to my fellow horror fans on the line, as we waited. Also, the Quick Bunny, randomly holding Thor's hammer Mjolnir showed up and entertained us.

Tom Savini didn't show up, while I was there but did after I left. Oh, well, doesn't matter. I've met him many times, before. The people that were there were: Tony Timpone (who was the editor of Fango for the longest run, so far and edited this book), Anthony Ferrante (who has toiled in the magazine and directed Sharknado among other movies), Michael Gingold, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (who wrote Afterlife with Archie), legendary horror/ cult director Frank Henenlotter, horror director Larry Fessenden, scream queen Debbie Rochon, legendary artist Basil Gogos, director Jeff (Squirm) Leiberman, among many others.

One of my personal favorite directors, Frank Henelotter has made the Basket Case Trilogy, Frankenhooker (which he signed my blu-ray copy of!), Brain Damage (my absolute favorite of his, which I made sure to tell him), Bad Biology, and other great films. I was so happy to finally meet him!

Fango's two Tonys! My fellow Italians: Anthony Ferrante and Tony Timpone.

I was so happy to see Debbie, once again. It had been a long time since I has last seen her at the last Saturday Nightmares that had been held. I was so happy to see and talk to her for a bit. She asked how the writing was going for me and was happy for my success. Debbie is so sweet and awesome. I am proud to call her a friend. She also signed my blu-ray copy of Return to Nuke Em High Vol. 1.

I was quite honored to meet the one of my favorite artists: Basil Gogos. His work has graced the covers of the classic monster magazine Famous Monsters of Filmland. That magazine was so important in the creation of Fango, itself. He has been in the pages of Fango, too, of course.

I had such a blast at this event! I love horror and will love it forever. Glad I got this book and expect a review coming soon!

The 30 Greatest Fangoria Covers of all Time Pt. 1, 30 - 21

The recently released Fangoria Cover to Cover book (the signing of which I attended on Thurs) has made me think about the best covers Fango has had. This three part series has me picking out the very best covers this world renown horror mag has had. The movies or TV shows featured on the cover may range in quality, but the eye catch ability of all of them is why they are here. These are some of the coolest, bloodiest, most beautiful, and, in some cases, even sexy covers the mag has had in its' 35 year run. Let know what you think about my picks! Anyway, let's get this countdown started already!

30. Fangoria #84- Tales from the Crypt- HBO's groundbreaking horror anthology series pops on the cover as the killer Santa takes center stage. This is one of the earliest issues that I ever bought. I think I recall the cover causing some controversy, too. The Ghostbusters II insignia being on the corner is an added bonus, even if the movie itself isn't all that...

29. Fangoria #83- Jason Voorhees fromFriday the 13th Pt. VII: The New Blood- The best looking Jason Voorhees (the first time the real Jason appeared on the cover, by the way) gets the cover here. This issue which interviewed the first half of the final girls of the slasher franchise is when I started to collect the mag and read it religiously. The combo of their sexy presence and Jason being on the cover made me decide that I NEED to own it!

28. Fangoria #88- Halloween 5:The Revenge of Michael Myers- Yeah, this era of Fango covers was really special to me, cause I was so into reading and collecting it,at this point. This is the best cover featuring Michael Myers by and far, I think. Even if the sequel itself is just OK and the Myers mask is actually one of the worst ones in the series. That fellow slasher icons Freddy and Leatherface are in the side filmstrip are icing on the bloody cake.

27. Fangoria #19- Poltergeist- Tobe Hooper's Steven Spielberg produced classic is featured. That the corpses are said to be real only adds a certain morbid coolness to it.

26. Fangoria #299- Black Swan- A beautiful and eye-catching cover has the psychological horror flick take the main place. I remember that I would stare at this cover every time I saw it for sale at a comic shop or bookstore.

25. Fangoria #153- The Craft- I remember getting this cover in the mail (I was subcribed back then) and drooling over the girls on it. Especially Fairuza Balk, who I was totally in love with when I was in college. You can say this cover put a spell on me! To paraphrase ZZ Top, they got legs and know how to use them!

24. Fangoria #25- Videodrome- The first gore cover to make this list is from one of the David Cronenberg's finest movies, as a TV barfs some intestines. A cover with guts! Literally!

23. Fangoria #89- Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III-A touching and heartwarming picture of Leatherface and his family adorns this one. You know this proves it. Leatherface is a wonderful uncle!

21. Fangoria #127- The Beyond- Instead of featuring a current a movie, a trend the magazine had kinda slumped in at this point, it goes retro and features Fulci's finest movie. It was being re-released by Tarantino, at the time. The image is of the little zombie girl who gets her brains blown out thanks to a gunshot blast. It's a gore highlight in an ubber-gory classick and as such really stands out amongst Fango covers.

Hot Asian Girl of the Month: Kim Tae-Hee

April showers bring the hotties! Well, at least they do here. This month's Hot Asian Girl of the Month is Korean actress Kim Tae-hee.

She is mostly known for starring in Korean dramas like Stairway to Heaven (I'm guessing this has NOTHING to do with Led Zeppelin or that 80s US TV show...), My Princess, and a bunch of other shows that I have never seen, will see, or so much as heard of. But, hey she sure is beautiful! She's has received a lot acclaim in her home country, so there is that, too.
There is no denying that Kim Tae-hee is naturally beautiful, with a flawless face, gorgeous complexion, and beautiful eyes. So while, you may not know her, I am sure you'll be pleased just looking at her pics here! And, for her being this April 2015's Hot Asian Girl of the Month!
